This small toad inhabits
lowland tropical forests, and can be found close to clear, sandy streams. It
is a jumper, and is able to climb vegetation easily.
The dorsal surface is dark
brown to orange brown, and the skin surface is peppered with tiny warts. The
general, uninflated body shape is flat and rectangular, and the forelimbs
slender. The call is a monotonous rasping sound.
The species ranges from
Burma, through Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia to Sumatra. It is absent in
Singapore.
